Partner With a Child

Download a PDF membership form here.

BACKGROUND

Mothers’ Mercy Home began May 9, 2001, founded by the Mothers’ Union of the Diocese of Mt. Kenya South in response to the urgent outcry for a home to cater to the increasing number of destitute AIDS orphans and children whose family circumstances deny them basic needs and a Christian upbringing. The goal of this Early Intervention Project is to provide basic needs of food, shelter and education to 129 boys and girls age 4 through Secondary School. The basic foundation is the Love of Christ.

MANAGEMENT

Mothers' Mercy Home is run by a committee elected by the Mothers’ Union, most of them experts in early child development. They work as volunteers and for the Glory of God. High ethical standards are maintained. Audited accounts are prepared annually.

GRADUATES

Check out profiles of the first class of Mothers' Mercy Home students who have graduated from Secondary School  in November 2013 in this full color PDF document. You can open it here.

MOTHERS’ MERCY HOME MINISTRY

MOTTO

With God we can.

VISION

A Christian based home built by faith to reach and equip the less fortunate children to be self reliant and responsible citizens.

MISSION

To identify and to meet the emotional, mental, physical, spiritual and social needs for children to maturity and to live life in its fullness.

OBJECTIVES

  • To lay a firm Christian foundation for the children.
  • To build the institution’s capacity so that it can cope with the needs of the disadvantaged children.
  • To establish and maintain strong long-term relationships with Christ.

WHAT IS A PARTNER?

A partner is an individual or family who provides prayer and words of encouragement through letters to an individual child of Mothers’ Mercy Home. The financial support of a partner benefits the children of the Home by providing food, clothing, shelter, Christian education as well as recreational and leisure activities.

BECOME A PARTNER

By becoming a Partner you will be a member of a very special group of people who will put into action the answer to the Baptismal call:

“Will you by your prayers and witness help this child to grow into the full stature of Christ?”

If your answer is “I will with God’s help” please complete and mail in your partnership form.
